What does it mean to have initiative? Initiative is actually the foundation of the spirit of being an entrepreneur. Having the initiative is the willingness to step forward with an idea and take the risk of bringing it to fruition. The changing world is in dire need of fresh and new business minded individuals. It is significant that learners are able to set real and realistic goals for their own benefit. Learners should also know how to plan on how they will reach their goals. Initiative requires that the student is able to executive his or her plans in order to reach the goals that he or she have set from the start of the process. In the event that the student has already set his or her objectives, laid out the steps he or she will take to reach those objectives, laid out the execution plans for his or her goals, then that is the moment he or she is able to deliver his or her own set of activities. It is important the the students learn the inquiry process in the classroom. By educating the students of the inquiry process, the mentors are able to develop learner to become people with initiatives. Being initiative is essential for being successful.
